Are you a backseat driver? Infiniti has good news for you, as it's preparing to introduce the first steer-by-wire system in a particular new Infiniti model next year. The new "steer by wire" system will use remote actuators and electronic signals, instead of a direct mechanical connection, to take control of the front wheels. This streamlines the connection between automated crash avoidance features and driver aids, as well as opens up new ideas about packaging possibilities.

Recently, Hurricane Sandy rocked the East Coast, leaving all kinds of destruction in its wake. Many vehicles were damaged during this storm, and luxury auto brand Infiniti is stepping up to the plate to aid victims of the storm. The company has announced that it will offer discounted financing and employee pricing in areas labeled FEMA disaster and emergency locations for drivers who need to replace vehicles lost in the storm.

Perhaps you've heard the rumors that Infiniti, our favorite luxury brand, has been working on a new compact car to rival such models as the BMW 1-Series and the Audi A3. This new model is said to be based on the brand's Etherea concept (which debuted in 2011), and will be the smallest Infiniti model ever built. The model will be produced in Austria by Magna Steyr and will use a version of the Mercedes-Benz MFA FWD platform.

Formula 1 racing champion Sebastian Vettel certainly wows fans with his ownership of the racetrack, and he also seems to be rather chummy with luxury auto brand Infiniti lately. After creating his own special version of the Infiniti FX35, Sebastian wasn't finished with his commitment to Infiniti, and now he's involved in a brand new venture: a music video/advertisement with Grammy winner Melanie Fiona.

Summer sales numbers have been tallied, and luxury brand Infiniti retains its spot at the top of the pack! The auto brand had its best July sales in seven years this year, selling 11,619 units this July, an increase of 56.8 from the 7,410 units that were sold in July of last year. At the end of July, overall Infiniti sales were up 20.7 percent so far this year, at 65,996 total sales compared to 54,678 total sales in July 2011.
